Peggy Wallace Kennedy

I was very interested in her speech today. I was amazed to hear her say that her father had started out as a man against racism and then changed into a racist. I was surprised to hear her talk the way she did about racism. Her being the daughter of governor Wallace I thought she would at least have a little bit of racism in her just because of the way her father was. I was wrong, she was very against racism and even told us about how she made Martin Luther Kings dream come true. She stood on the steps of the Alabama capital and held hands with Bernice king. MLK said he wanted little black girls and little white girls to be able to stand together as sisters. It was very cool that the two people that made that come true were his daughter and governor Wallace's daughter. I really enjoyed the speech she had for us today.
